Anastasia Victor is an XR designer and artist based in San Francisco. Victor’s background is in experience design for web, mobile, augmented and virtual reality. Prior to that, she worked as an architect designing physical spaces. She is currently exploring ways to bridge these areas through with human and computer interaction producing work that not only takes snapshots in time but also allows for motion and interaction with both the art and space around us.
Victor is also interested in the social impacts of emerging tech and the ways in which immersive art can be used to promote public discourse around difficult topics and provide new ways of looking at relationships between objects and ideas. Currently, Victor is a resident at the Gray Area Art and Technology Incubator. In 2018 she was chosen to be a fellow at Mozilla’s XR Studio as well as awarded a 2018 Oculus Launchpad fellowship.
